What a great night at the Grant Street Dance Hall yesterday with Geno Delafose ! It seems he is playing faster at home than on tour. Louisiana Music Zydeco Music Radio is on the Air!

Zydeco Music is a world-wide sensation. Fans love Zydeco because it is a strong root music that just makes you want to dance. The more you dance, the more you need to drink, which leads to more dancing. The term Zydeco comes from a slang pronunciation of the French term of snap bean (or green beans). The French name is ‘les haricots’ and sounds like la-zah-ri-coe if you say if fast. Where did it come from.
